hazaaron khwaishen aisi....T-1

slight change of plans....will be leavin Houston tomorrow...:(

it is 2:21am here and i just finished watching hazaaron khwaishen aisi.

one of the most brilliant movies ever made in the history of indian cinema.

three lives, three paths, a thousand wishes and a dream gone sour.

the dream that was india.

the movie starts with an alaap that brings to life the idealism of the era.

hazaaron khwaishen aisi, ki har khwaish pe dum nikle

bahut nikle mere arman lekin , phir bhi kam nikle.

the rot had set in, and every attempt to make ammends crushed. The movie focusses on the

lives of three individuals who believed in their visions of life, of a change

that could be brought about and the backdrop of the emergency period of the country.

Brilliant work by KK Menon, Shiny Ahuja and Chitrangadha Singh and somehow in their

characters we can see a part of our lives too. Sudhir Mishra, i bow to ure genius.

Mumbai is submerged...

more rain in 1 day than

1. what allison got in 5 days....

2. UP gets in a season...

3. Rajasthan gets in a year....

yes, the city was shut down. Any city would have.

And u see ppl play the blame least dont start off now!

and the other end of the spectrum u have ppl say the bby spirit....ok i admit that bby has the

spirit that no other city in india has...but cmon when ure stuck in traffic and have no other

option....u have to least for the moment thats how every bbyite thinks....

the spirits an illusion. the illusions also a spirit....

the images though remind me of a Hollywood Sci Fi movie....where destruction causes ppl to

leave vehicle stranded on the roads and walk home...

Is this the next bolly flick??....Mumbai : A story of fire and water...

just a day to go....upto my neck with nostalgia and fact a tear did come to my eye

while i lay in bed last nite....didnt know three yrs could change someone so much....and i really

didnt feel anything when i left bby after 8 yrs...dunno why this time....

in any case...will prob scribble somethin before i a final blog from houston...

till then be good all of ya...

peace out....

Good read shiva

"Hazaron Khwaishen aisi" is a must see for "Critically Acclaimed" movie lovers.

about Mumbai rains, an unfortunate thing to happen. It disturbed not only day to day life of people in mumbai but also people living in other cities in the country...'cause of the heavy rains we did get our passes/coupens for this month which is supposed to come from Mumbai.
